Appearance: Yong Soo has tan skin and dark brown eyes. He stands at 5 feet and 7 inches. His hair is black and cut short with the exception of one curl on the top of his head that has a face in it. The face’s expressions show his energy level. A happy face is a full charge, while a sleepy face means low battery. Yong Soo’s expressions seem to stay along various levels of happy, concentrating, and pouting.
His serial number is behind his right ear. The logo of a red and blue ying yang rests on his left hip bone. These are the only constant physical signs that Yong Soo is a bot. Because Yong Soo tests new upgrades on his own body, it isn’t uncommon to see him with cat ears and tail, or breasts for a short period of time.
Yong Soo’s clothing choices are random at best. He tends to wear jeans and hoodies or t-shirts with long sleeves most of the time. Yong Soo will also wear traditional clothing from his homeland, although he’ll often mix and match the time periods and intended gender of dress. French maid, school girl, nurse, and any other fetish like clothing is also worn for reasons of boredom, and to mess with Ivan.

:advanced: Personality: Yong Soo is a very happy person. He’s easy to please and always looks on the bright side. The only exception to his sunny attitude is the fact that he holds grudges. While he’ll wave away small misdeeds like they’re nothing, if he’s been seriously hurt or betrayed, Yong Soo may forgive, but he will never forget.
Yong Soo’s short attention span is well known in D.E.R.P. He’ll flit from one project to the other until he finds one he likes. If none of his current projects are particularly engaging, he’ll spend a good deal of his time playing videos games and avoiding his work. When a project does capture his interest, Yong Soo will become fully absorbed by it. When he gets like this, sun lamps have to be put out for him or he’ll work himself until his power supply is depleted.
Because of Yong Soo’s lack of knowledge about the origin of bots, he has a difficult relationship with them. While he himself is a bot, he considers himself human still. Bots deserve to be cared for and treated well, but in the end are machines.
History: Yong Soo live a normal, happy life as a child. He grew up in a middle class family. School was never a problem for the boy. His parents spoke very lowly of the bots that came out in his mid teens. They frequently reminded Yong Soo that they were unnatural and even evil. Yong Soo was fascinated by them despite his parents words. He learned everything he could about them growing up. When it came time for college, he chose to go into the robotics field. In school he flourished, and had a promising future ahead of him.
During his sophomore year of college, Yong Soo was in a car accident and paralyzed from the neck down. He became frustrated. He wasn’t well off enough to get the cybernetic enhancements he would need to walk again. His parents refused to even look at such an option for their child. It seemed like his life was over far too soon. Growing increasingly bitter and desperate, the offer that soon came his way seemed too good to be true.
Ivan, the secret owner of D.E.R.P. had had his eye on Yong Soo since his college days. It wasn’t often a person with Yong Soo’s natural skills popped up. The Russia struck a deal with Yong Soo. He would take the boy and give him the cybernetic enhancements he needed. In return, Yong Soo would work for Ivan until his debt was paid.
Yong Soo jumped at the offer. He knew that his parents would disown him, this was the second chance at life he needed. A new body and his dream job all in one neat little package; how could he refuse?
Because of the state of his body, Ivan told him that the cybernetic implants wouldn’t be enough. Instead, Ivan made him into a F.A.C.U. enviro unit. His personality and memories were not disturbed during the process. It was a bit disconcerting to suddenly become a bot owned by Ivan, but he adjusted quickly. Because Ivan kept him unaware of how bots are actually created, Yong Soo thinks himself a very special case.
Yong Soo now happily works as Ivan’s personal assistant/developer/lover when not playing video games or working on his own secret projects.
RP Sample: Yong Soo flopped down onto his bed with a relaxed sigh. It had been tiring to do all the moving; choosing the new furniture and settling into his new home. He raised his hand in the air, studying it once more. It was odd. His hand looked the same as it had before. The skin still looked and felt real. He just watched for several moments and he curled an uncurled his fingers.
Pressing his hands to his eyes, he took a deep, shuddering breath and felt his artificial lungs fill with air.
"You're lucky." his voice even sounded the same. "You can move now. You have a life again. It's not Ivan's fault he can't give you what you wanted. You're lucky to have this much."
It wasn't Ivan's fault his body couldn't be save. It wasn't Ivan's fault that his body was damaged beyond repair. He was lucky, so lucky. He could walk again, live again.
So what if he was a bot now? So what is Ivan owned him now? He was still free to do as he wished like in the original agreement. Ivan would provide him with his own account in the Russian's name so he could still buy things; even if they weren't technically his. He still had his dream job. He had a life again.
And it had only cost him his family, his identity, and his humanity.
"Stop. Remember what it was like before? Laying in a bed, unable to move?” he himself.
“You have a life. Don't waste it."
